Terms of service

Clear expectations for your website report, payment and access.

Effective 25 October 2026

Who you are buying from

The service is provided by Richard Summerfield, a sole trader trading as SiteCheckMate.com, at the business address below. These terms apply to the report service and website. Reports are intended primarily for business website owners and their authorised representatives. Nothing here removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

What the report includes

A report describes the findings, evidence, affected pages and suggested fixes from the checks recorded in that report. The free preview includes a complete example and explains what is withheld. Read the scan date, scope and coverage before buying: some checks may be incomplete, and a review may cover only part of a website.

Website repairs, implementation, ongoing monitoring and repeat reviews are not included unless separately agreed. A report is not an exhaustive audit, security assessment, accessibility certification or legal compliance assessment. We do not guarantee increased sales, search rankings or any particular commercial result. A website changing after the review does not, by itself, mean the original report was inaccurate.

We may use automated tools and AI to assist research and drafting. Customer reports require owner review before publication. Invented demonstration reports are labelled as fictional tests and must not be treated as actual findings about a business.

Price, currency and placing an order

The report page and Stripe checkout show the amount and currency for that particular report. Offers may differ by business country. Your bank or payment provider may charge its own currency conversion fees. This is a one-time report purchase, not a subscription.

Check the business, report, purchaser email, currency and total before submitting payment in Stripe. You can leave checkout without buying and return to the preview. If any information is wrong, contact support before paying. We accept the payment methods displayed by Stripe for your checkout.

Your purchase is accepted when successful payment is confirmed for the selected report. A checkout error, failed payment or payment still awaiting confirmation does not establish paid access. If money is taken but access is not provided, contact us so we can provide the report or resolve the payment under our refund policy.

Delivery, access and keeping a copy

Delivery is digital through the report portal after payment confirmation; no physical item is posted. Sign in with the email assigned to the report and the one-time code sent to that address. Access normally unlocks as soon as payment is verified, although a provider or technical delay can occur.

Reports are provided in English. You need an internet connection, access to your email and a current web browser with necessary cookies enabled. The downloadable report is HTML and can be opened in a browser, printed or saved as a PDF using the browser’s print feature. Download a copy for your records; we do not promise that the portal will remain available indefinitely.

We do not ask you to waive any statutory cancellation rights merely by opening or downloading a report. Where applicable law gives you a cancellation right, it remains available unless it has lawfully been lost through a separate, valid process.

Using and sharing the report

You may use your purchased report for your business and share it with staff, advisers and the people who maintain your website. You must not resell it as your own work, misrepresent its findings, publish another customer’s private information, or try to access reports assigned to someone else. Keep sign-in codes private and use the service only for lawful purposes.

Errors, complaints and refunds

Please tell us if the purchased report is inaccessible, faulty or materially inaccurate. A material inaccuracy is an important claim that was incorrect at the time of the stated check, rather than a minor typo or a later change to the website. We will investigate, and provide an appropriate correction, replacement or refund depending on the issue and your legal rights.

We do not offer a general satisfaction or change-of-mind guarantee once the report is delivered. This does not limit any statutory cancellation or refund right. See the refund policy for how to make a request.

Responsibility and limits

We aim to exercise reasonable care and skill and describe the checks honestly. Suggested fixes are guidance: changes should be assessed and tested by someone familiar with your website, with suitable backups. A limited report cannot establish that every issue has been found or that a proposed change will suit every website configuration.

We are responsible for losses for which applicable law makes us responsible. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory consumer protections take priority over these terms.

Privacy, availability and changes

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. We may interrupt access for maintenance or security reasons and will work to resolve faults affecting a purchased report. Contact support if you need a copy while portal access is unavailable.

The version of these terms in force when you purchase applies to that purchase. Later changes do not retrospectively reduce your existing rights. You can print or save this page using the control above.

Governing law and resolving concerns

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Courts of England and Wales may hear disputes, without restricting any right you have under mandatory law to use your local courts. Please contact support first so we have an opportunity to resolve a concern.
